“Have fun. Don't kill any of your trainees at work today, honey.” No matter how many times I reread the books in this series I’m always hooked and impressed. Even with the majority of the characters being paranormal creatures they all seem down to earth. My Protector has significantly more geeky references, which I love, especially since they’re mostly Star Wars and Doctor Who. Meryn’s bluntness always makes me crackup. These books are my guilty pleasures, so there’s not really anything I find I don’t like about reading them. I would recommend this book to fantasy readers and anyone who loves geeky references.
