My Commander is an incredibly funny book that still manages to get serious for some heavy topics. This is the third time I’ve read this book and it is so fast paced and still hooks me in its grasp. There are some slight things that pull me out of the immersion, like I’m not going to be able to tell that someone is exactly 6 foot 4 inches by just looking at them, but that’s easy to push to the back of your head. I think this book would be great for all the geeks, Meryn references many pop culture items.
